Q: How can I change the date format in WriteNow? I'd like to be able to spell the name of the day completely.\
\
A:
\fc0 NeXT uses the defaults database to control the formatting of time and date strings. If you want the date written as "Thursday, July 18, 1991" type the following in a shell:\
\
\fs32
\f2\fs24 dwrite GLOBAL NXDate "%A, %B %d, %Y"
\f0\fs32 \
\fs28 \
The meaning of "%A", etc. in the format string can be found in the second edition of Kernighan and Ritchie's "The C Programming Language" (pp. 256-257; discussion of strftime()). See also /NextLibrary/Documentation/NextDev/ReleaseNotes/CLibLocalization.rtf for further information.\
